Just Like Skateboarding

Longboarding is usually compared to surfing on concrete. Longboards are essentially surfboards with wheels. They are commonly used for cruising, shalom racing, downhill racing, or as transportation. Longboards come in different shapes which depend on the type of ride the user intends to do. They are heavier and bulkier which make them unsuitable for many skateboarding tricks.

However, the longboards’ size and weight contribute to better fluid motion as it provides more momentum. Longboard equipment is almost the same as skateboard equipment. You will also have to wear gloves and a helmet aside from the wrist, elbow, and knee protection. If you usually ride downhill, wear slide gloves which are made out of strong materials to protect your hands from being scraped on the pavements.
