Give your child a reason to go out and have fun while getting some exercise in between. Discourage him from spending all his free time in front of the computer, TV or game console. Surprise him with a skateboard and proper safety gear one weekend. Teach him the basic things you used to do as child.
Pretty soon, you’ll be amazed that your son can do lots of tricks on his skateboard. Children these days are more adventurous when it comes to outdoor gadgets. Encourage him to spread his wings while making sure he is always within the bounds of safety. Orient him in safety precautions and impose reasonable rules such as no skateboarding on a busy street for his own protection.
