School playground equipment

An area designed for children to play is called a playground or a play area. It may be found indoors or outdoors. Modern playground usually has recreational equipment like see-saw, merry-go-round, swing set, slide, sandbox and many more. Many of these equipments will help children develop physical coordination, strength and flexibility. They also provide recreation and enjoyment as well.

The safety of playgrounds is a major concern of everybody. The kinds of equipment to be found in playgrounds have changed towards safer equipments built with modern materials. School playground equipments are often scrutinize and vetted to make sure they are safe for students to use. A type of playground called a playscape is designed to provide a safe environment for play in a natural setting.
