What is a dollhouse without accessories? Introduce your daughter to a world of fantasy. Get her a nice sturdy dollhouse and help her fill it up with furniture. Doll houses are available ready made or in easy to assemble kits. Your child can choose a turn of the century Victorian cottage that features ornate trims and a bay window. Maybe she’d rather have one fit for a celebrity – a classical six bedroom house with shutters, corner posts and porch stairways.

It will amaze you how fast and fun building a dollhouse can be; especially if you are working with a kit. Before you can start building, you have to choose the kit. You need to decide on the style and size that you (or your child) has in mind. Does she prefer a front or rear opening? Will assembly require tools that you don’t have? Plan the project well and your child will have a lovely doll house in no time.

Teddy bears have been around for a long time. They have become a staple of childhood toys and they hold a spot in all of our hearts. The beauty of it is that teddy bears have come in all shapes and sizes, various colors and personalities. Books have been written about various teddy bears and stories have been told. Some teddy bears have even made it onto the movie and TV screen.

But perhaps the teddy bears that deserve the most recognition are those that live with us. A teddy bear can bring comfort to a sick or scared child and they can bring a smile to our day. If you do not have a special teddy bear in your life you are missing out on a comforting friend that wants nothing more than to see you happy.

I grew up in the 70’s. Like all boys I loved to play with cars. My favorite toy is my rc car. RC cars are so cool. My first RC car was slow moving one where the car is attached to a wire. Then my parents got me one that goes at a snails pace.

I’m amazed at how fast the rc cars go now. Really fast cars can be clocked at 70 mph. I also heard of modified rc cars that can go over 100mph. That’s faster that most people drive. I don’t even know how people can control a car that fast.

Once a child outgrows his stroller, you won’t have much luck keeping him to stay still for long. Provide him with another means of transportation. Choose from the many variants of push tricycles. If your child can’t pedal yet, this is one of your best bets. Just make sure that what you buy has a seat belt and that the steering is easy, not wobbly.

Look also for a lock to the front wheel or handle bars as it will be hard to push your toddler if you are going in one way and he is turning the wheel in the opposite direction. Some push bikes don’t have brakes so ensure that you are buying a trike with brakes. You child will need that once he starts riding the trike on his own.

I overheard my husband and son talking the other night. I couldn’t get much of what they’re saying. But they seem to understand each other very well. I kept hearing words like shock towers, arm mounts, shaft sets, bar fixation sets and more.

I thought they were talking about a video game! But when they went online and logged on to a website, I finally comprehended that they were talking about Redcat RC parts. They said my RC needed a major overhaul to be able to win races against his friends. Boys and men, I don’t think I’ll ever totally identify with them.

Sweet Smell of Nitro

I migrated to the States when I was ten. When we moved there we stayed with my cousins in California. Every weekend, we would all go to the airfield and fly their RC planes and or go to the park and run their RC cars or sail their boats. They are into RC hobbies. Anything RC they have. What’s amazing is their whole family gets into the action from grandma to the grandchildren.

RC hobbies are fun. My favorites are the cars and the planes. They go so fast. This is true because of the special fuel and formulation that they use. When you get the formulation right, it smells good. The sweet smell of nitro is the smell of my teen years.
