Children are at their best learning mode when they are having fun. Early childhood toys should therefore be fun as well as educational. There is quite a selection that you can choose from. They are available in bookstores and toy stores. Some are even printable from the internet.

Examples are board games. Different board games will help expand their stock of words, teach them to analyze or be creative. The right educational toys develop these attributes without their being conscious of it. They are just having fun. They are also learning the basics of interaction since they are playing with other children.
