Play the role of a Roman Centurion wearing authentic garments and accessories. Medieval clothes like the Roman chain mail shirt called “hamata” will make you look the part of an ancient soldier ready to go to battle. This mail shirt was already in use even before Julius Caesar’s time and well after Trajan. This handsome shirt is trimmed with leather at the arms and throat.

It has removable studs for attachments. The butted rings are blackened to make them look more ancient. Once size fits most and can accommodate men with up to a 50″ chest girth. Complete your outfit by matching your mail shirt with a chain mail coif that is a very economical choice for costuming or passive reenactment. However, it is not advisable to be used for battle reenactments that involve sword contacts.
