A doll house can make a wonderful gift for a child. It can help support imaginative play in a number of different ways. Including wooden doll furniture with the doll house is actually a very good idea. This type of toy will give the child settings, props, and even characters to work with. You can also build a dollhouse with your child which can be a great family project and provide an excellent bonding opportunity. Some toy manufacturers offer kits to help build a dollhouse, some of which include pre-cut wood that is easily assembled to create the house frame.

A basic homemade dollhouse requires a few pieces of carefully cut wood and a little hammer work. A simple way to make a dollhouse look fabulous is to paint the exterior. Think of how real houses are painted and add a contrasting trim around the windows and doors. In order to finish a doll house, you need to decorate the interior with furniture, wallpaper, as well as dolls. Many dollhouse companies offer a wide variety of miniature furnishings to suit any style and size of dollhouse.

I have always loved playing with my dollhouse. My parents gave me this farmhouse dollhouse that is colored a fabulous pink. It was given to me one Christmas when I was about six years old. I still keep this with me now that I am already an adult, and still play with it from time to time. I remember a lot of wonderful memories whenever I see this farmhouse dollhouse. It brings me back to the days when life was simple and uncomplicated.

All of the miniature furniture that came with this dollhouse is still in perfect condition. It even came with miniature toy animals that I still keep with me today. The living room and dining room furniture is still arranged in the original positions from a long time ago. I plan to give this farmhouse dollhouse to my daughter when she turns three years old which is very soon. I’m sure she will have as much fun with it as I have.

I had my first dollhouse when I was seven years old. It was the happiest day of my life back then. I started collecting dollhouse furniture soon after that. One of my favorite pieces was this dollhouse upholstered chair that was the centerpiece of my dollhouse. I still have this chair with me until now. It is still the centerpiece of my dollhouse collection. You won’t believe the detailing of this dollhouse upholstered chair. It is truly one of a kind.

I have collected a lot of dollhouse furniture during my time. But my favorite will always be this upholstered chair. If this chair was life-sized, I would be sitting on this chair everyday. It just seems so comfortable that I can’t help but relax whenever I see this chair. It also brings back a lot of my childhood memories playing with that dollhouse. I plan to give this to my daughter once she reaches seven years old. Then she can have all the memories that goes with it.

When they put dolls in and out of bed, they develop coordination and large motor skills. And by assuming roles and interacting with people around them, kids develop language and social skills like sharing and helping others.

Many kids would also enjoy playing with wooden doll houses. There are doll house kits parents can buy with rooms already built in as shelves. They come pre-assembled or ready-made. Wooden doll houses are better than plastic ones because doll houses made of wood are sturdy and long lasting. They look more appealing and are created with better quality materials.

What is a dollhouse without accessories? Introduce your daughter to a world of fantasy. Get her a nice sturdy dollhouse and help her fill it up with furniture. Doll houses are available ready made or in easy to assemble kits. Your child can choose a turn of the century Victorian cottage that features ornate trims and a bay window. Maybe she’d rather have one fit for a celebrity – a classical six bedroom house with shutters, corner posts and porch stairways.

It will amaze you how fast and fun building a dollhouse can be; especially if you are working with a kit. Before you can start building, you have to choose the kit. You need to decide on the style and size that you (or your child) has in mind. Does she prefer a front or rear opening? Will assembly require tools that you don’t have? Plan the project well and your child will have a lovely doll house in no time.

I’ve always been fascinated with doll houses. I always get that feeling that I’m a giant and I’m peering into someone’s home. It’s amusing to see miniature furniture, decorative items, utensils, dinnerware, plants, and so on. Sometimes I can’t help but imagine myself become small enough to fit through those doll house doors and see if it would be like walking inside a real house.

Doll houses are available in different forms. There are the ready-made doll houses that come in kits and custom-built houses made to the customer’s design. Other people simply design, build, and decorate their own doll houses. Creating doll houses have become an art, and enthusiasts hold dozens of miniature trade shows where artisans and dealers can display and sell their miniatures.

You can buy your little girl a complete doll house kit. There are many available in stores. The advantage of doing this is that it you know exactly how it will look and it can be set up in the quickest time possible. Dollhouse parts are easy to put together. There is no impatient waiting and we know that little girls can be very impatient.

Another way is by making your girl’s doll house from scratch. The family can benefit from some bonding while helping make the project. Dad can do the carpentry while mom can help sew little curtain and pillow pieces. Older siblings can help with the painting while the little princess who owns the house will have a say on the design of her choice. Aside from the bonding benefit, it can also be a green project by making use of recycled materials.

With these, kids can do pretend play which would develop their imagination and creativity skills. You can buy readymade dollhouses or attempt to build from scratch with wooden dollhouse kits.

In the miniature world, doll houses are a class apart from other toys. With them, you get to bring out your inner artist and call upon your touch of craftsmanship. The good thing about wooden dollhouses compared to plastic ones is that the former are made to last for years. They can be painted and redecorated without having to worry about wear, tear or cracking.

Help out your daughter assemble her very own doll house. She would treasure it all the more because she had a part in making it. Display the doll house proudly where visitors can see it. Surely, your daughter would love sharing her wonderful toy with siblings, cousins and friends.

Dolls are not just toys to play with. They can be collected too! These are what porcelain dolls usually made of. They are designed smaller than the ordinary dolls available in the toy store. Also known as ‘glass’ dolls, their designs vary from baby dolls to youth to adults and in different sizes, nationalities and costumes too.

These unique dolls are ideal gifts for friends and loved ones. For porcelain dolls designed in different nationalities, this is a good idea to collect and complete all nations and have them housed in a glass for display. Porcelain dolls are toys for the big ones–boys and girls, old and young. These are ideal giveaways too, for visitors from other countries especially those who haven’t collected any yet.
