Get muzzle velocity that can reach up to 150 and 500 feet per second. That is the power electric airsoft guns. These weapons are powered by a rechargeable battery that drives an internal motor encased inside the gun. Both the automatic and semi-automatic types can fire at a rate of 100 to 2000 rounds per minute.

A common type of battery used in airsoft gun is NiCd or nickel cadmium. This variety has the capacity of 2400 mAh or milliampere-hours. As a common principle, the higher the mAh of a battery, the longer it lasts. Presently though, Lithium Polymer batteries are becoming more popular among airsoft enthusiasts because they have higher mAH and may soon replace the NiCd batteries.
